Attention Tige: Please Read and Respond

I'm sure there are plenty of things about our boats and the way they function that we would love to change or tweak. The easiest ones I see are changes and updates to the Tige Touch, it's UI and functionality. This is simple from the standpoint that the software developer can make the changes, send it to Tige to test and then the update can be emailed to owners or to dealers. There's no real labor involved that the dealer will charge Tige for and it could actually be a money maker or at least pay for itself if you charge for the update or even charge for additional features (think of the Apple App Store). Here are a couple. Please feel free to add your own suggestions.

    Save Current Settings
My biggest complaint I have with Tige Touch is the inability to store a rider's preset from the current settings. Here's what happens to us everytime we go out:

    1. I activate the 'WAKEBRD' preset I set up where I typically overfill the rear ballast on purpose.

    2. I dump one side or the other while my wife is riding in order to clean up and balance the wake depending on how many people are in the boat and where they are sitting. I know it's easier to have someone move but most of the time it's just me, my wife and 2 kids.

    3. Adjust speed and TAPS position.

    4. Once she is done riding, I turn the key off so my kids can swim and I can get ready to ride.

    5. When I'm ready to ride I have to activate the preset again which causes the pumps to fill then drain, fill then drain for several minutes. This kills the balancing I did while she was riding so I either have to sit there and guess or ask my wife to adjust it while I'm up (which she usually doesn't do or gets mad when I ask her to because she's too busy with everything else which I understand).

I've left the boat running a few times while changing riders but I don't like doing it. You can also just leave the preset alone and set the speed set where you want it and manually adjust the TAPS. That way the ballast doesn't get changed. What's not cool about that is that you have to manually adjust the TAPS plate.

I guess I could wire the TT so that it stays on all the time until either I turn the battery switch off or I manually flip a switch. I'd rather not do that though.

Tige, can you please add a button somewhere on the Tige You page that says 'Save Current Settings'. It might also be nice to be able to view those settings (with actual ballast percentages that are not at the nearest 25%). It would also be cool to have a 'Load Previous Settings' or maybe just a couple quick save presets (3 or so) that you can go to and press and hold to save the current settings like setting a radio preset on most car stereos.

    Actual Ballast Percentages
Since the current ballast levels are simply based on time, can you please have the readout show the actual percentage or at least round it to the nearest 5%? 25% is silly and inaccurate. You may need to also give the ability to accurately adjust ballast timers instead of only adjusting it in minutes.

    Auto Pull
I know this is probably a stretch and not as simple as the other 2 but it sure would be nice to adjust the throttle curve of a rider's preset. I think Malibu does this already. Nothing frustrates me more than when I hit the throttle too hard or not hard enough and it makes my son fall. I know he'll grow out of that but it still would be a very nice feature.

I know there's more but these are the biggest ones I can think of right now. I'd happily pay for each of these separately or as a group.

Tige, please respond with a real answer and not just, 'We are working on a few updates or we have been looking into doing this or that and should have it out soon.'

I'm not mad. I love my boat and Tige Touch but I think these could be really big improvements to the functionality of the boats.

I believe that the '13 ballast systems have pressure sensors on them so that the fill percentages are more accurate.

I empathize re asking the wife to tweak balance while you are in the water.

I think hard wiring your TT is a good solution. Different problem/system, but I hardwired the stereo because I was sick of everything cutting out when you turned to ACC. When done with the boat, I just make sure to throw both breakers and the isolator switch.

Otherwise, good luck with your requested changes

        1) X2 on the percentages, it would be so easy based on timing to make those accurate

        2) Also would be a good idea to make the Ballast Fill timer adjustable to the 10 seconds (instead of full minutes)

        3) X2 on the Save settings.... I gave up on using the TT for settings long ago... so frustrating when it resets every time you turn off key. We have kids on the boat all the time, so usually leave it in "accessory" when hanging out

Equally frustrating to have the stereo go crazy each time you cycle the transmission,

          Guys,

There is an update available to fix the save settings isssue. I have attached it for your convenience. You just put it on a USB stick and plug it in, then restart Tige Touch. Done.

Man, I am liking my '08 RZ2 way better. SpeedSet works great, and no extra electronics...

Looks like TIGE has reduced number of console level cup holders in the new versions, which I would have added more of.

Where do you put your anchor now with the new front cushion configuration?

I was starting to get the itch to trade in, but maybe I will just hold on.

Would you guys update the exterior graphics?

What 'save settings issue'? Is this just a fix for the system not always saving the changes you make to a profile or saving the settings even after you turn the key off without having to reactivate the profile? Or is this an update that actually allows you to save current settings into a profile like I was suggesting?

I wish there was more dealer support closer to us. I'm sure everyone battles this in their areas, but I get tired of driving 2 1/2 hours once a month just to get little things fixed. Maybe this is already the case & I don't know, but I wish they could reimburse other dealers to do "typical" warranty repairs so we could get back on the water faster.

I am also tired of the Tige Touch. This thing is about worthless. It's SOOOOO slow on every screen.

I don't have a tige touch, I have traditional gauges. This makes life easy and more enjoyable on the water. Gauges are for giving us information at a glance. There not intended to be a toy. I don't have an iPhoney or drone phone either, and this too makes life much easier. Simple is simply better.
