Shopping Z3's and I am curious on thoughs on the surf ballast package vs the pro ballast package? We primary surf. For essentially $900 (I was told) more for pro I wonder how much bigger and better the surf wake will be? Always appreciate the insight from this forum!

The only difference between the two options is the surf has a single 600# U shaped bow sac and the pro has a pair of 400# sac.
Based on Ragboys comments, I do not think the Z3 needs too much in the front.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

It's actually 1,100 lbs in the front on the Pro system vs 400.

Regardless, I do not see the difference in bow weight being beneficial.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

considering the cost for a pair of custom sacs, $900 additional is not too much of a stretch.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

I have the Z3 with the surf ballast. It makes a decent surf wave, but I wish I would have gone with the pro ballast. I think it would definitely help out with my wake, especially when there's not as many people riding. You really need to have weight all over the boat to get the best surf wake. I've never heard anybody complain that they had too much ballast, horsepower, speakers, etc...
