We have a 2012 RZ2 that we love, but on the weekend my wife and I talked about selling the RZ2 to spec out a new Z3. Are we crazy? Would it make sense? And how much could we expect to get? The specs are: 409 engine, pro ballast, upgraded enzo-style sacs from Mike's Liquid Audio, heater, carlotta wheel, cover, alpha z tower, tower of power sound, rev 8's, surf bimini, no trailer. The boat has 43 hours and is always kept on a lift. Couple of pics attached, boat is mint condition. Thanks for your help!

I am going to agree with the other comments, I could understand if you needed a bit more room, but I would think there is not enough to make me change. I was having the same discussion with my RZ4 and Z3 but have decided to wait a year or 2 to see what is coming down the pipeline for the RZ4.
Good luck...

I guess my take would be this. if you want a Z3 go for it. What market are you in? that will determine price. I think your only crazy if you have regret at the end of the day no matter what way you go. But that lift setup you have is sweet. I take a building will be going around them from the looks of things.2011 Tigé RZ4

If you want a Z3 get the Z3. Doesn't matter what we think as long as you and mainly the wife are happy. I would expect to lose 10% or so off your purchase price. Depending on the dealer and boat show incentives etc.... It might make more sense to trade it in. That way you only pay tax on the difference in price between trade in value and the new boat purchase price. that alone can save you a couple grand.

Honestly, we'd probably enjoy the RZ2 the same as the Z3, but the Z3 is appealing because it is the newer design. That doesn't really make much sense, but at the end of the day our purchases are often driven by emotion."Failing to prepare is preparing to fail" John Wooden- Rest in Peace

It might be hard to sell without a trailer.Example buyer wants it,where do you get a trailer to fit it in a reasonable length of time.Buyer will expect depreciation on trailer too.You will pay at least 3000 to 4000 for cheap trailer. Then expect 10% to 15% depreciation on the boat.Plus price increase on 2013 boats to make a 2013 Z3 cost more than a 2012.Sounds expensive for 43 hours of use, could cost up to 12000 .I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.
