Tower paint flaking off

I just bought a used 2011 RZR. It only has 53 hrs and the paint on the tower is flaking off in a few spots. Has anyone experienced this? Is it covered under warranty for a second owner? If not, any advice on how to properly fix this issue. It doesn't seem like pulling the tower off and taking to a paint shop is a very good option.

I'm betting your tower is powder coated instead of painted. Which makes it even tougher to deal with. What color is the tower?

It's electric blue...

Is it on the hinge area? Mine has some wear spots there but there is not much to do about it, I fold it up and down every time I put it in my garage.

Not in the hinge area, so that is what concerns me. It's in several separate locations...

tower flaking

my buddy has a brand new rz2 and his tower is red with metal flake and its peeling off as well and its on the top of the tower by the forward facing lights, id be really pissed off it that were my boat for sure, luckily im waiting another year to purchase, i would definatly think tige would take care of it.

the only thing i have found regarding this which kinda sucks... is its powder coated and it chips off. but I contacted Tige directly and they dont even sell or make available color matching paint to at least touch it up. To me not acceptable. (I have the same electric blue color)

I have one spot on my tower that got chipped from the board racks folding in and them not providing the correct bump stop. My dealer contacted boatmate and ordered touch up paint in the color of my trailer. I haven't seen what it looks like touched up but this was the best solution we could come up with.
