Not just "a guy", it is Brian Grubb a pro wakeskater and long time Malibu and Hyperlite rider.

Really cool to see this happen. I am really hoping to see some good skim riders behind this and see what they come up with.

Meh. The cool factor is minimal versus other tricks riders do on a board.

It looks like the wake is pretty sloppy on the transition side. Is that normal?

Cool but I'd be more impressed if it had the same wave on both sides at the same time. That should be the next thing people work on.

Ranking is really more than just market share or numerous of units sold. Market share is important to know and to see if the company is keeping pace or gaining ground on their competitors. Market share could also be analyzed to see if Tige say has a niche in the 20 foot T20/RZR markets and such. Is Tige ahead of competition in the larger wakeboarding and growing sur boat markets.

Market share is also driven by the customer's (prospective and actual) view on quality. Does the market buy Tige boats based on quality perceptions? Tige has addressed many QA issues. Has this improved their market ranking?

Tige has co me a long way. If they are number four they have done a beck of a job growing in a down market. The are positioned well with wakeboard and surf class boats since this is the number one growth area in watersports.

Wrong thread MP, but Surf Gate will change market share for Malibu for sure.

x1000. I'm workin on it boss.

The surfgate thing and the double boat foam bowl thing both just have me shaking my head. The double boat thing I get but, it just seems like so much work for not that big of a payoff, not to mention twice the fuel. "Ya, that was neat. Let's not do it again." The surfgate I get too but, to me it is completely misdirected effort. Who wants to coordinate with the rider everytime they want to transfer? Wakesurfing, a two man sport? That's gonna get old real quick. The Holy Grail is having both sides big and clean and shaped right. The first manufacturer with that, will be king.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.
