    overheating

I just purchased a 2001 tige 21v and I am having overheating issues. I have replaced the impeller, thermostat and the water pump. I also have water coming out both exhausts. There is also a squeal that I hear that comes and goes on the boat that I can't figure out where it is coming from. Please help I am getting frustrated.

Is the engine overheating and setting off the alarm? It's possible that the thermostat has stuck closed. If you have a laser thermometer you can shoot around the engine while it's running and determine where the hot spots are and if the thermostat is opening when it's supposed to.
Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...

The squealing noise is probably your serpentine belt. I had the noise on a 1999 2100V. I took the belt off and put it back on so it went in the opposite direction and that worked for a year or two then the noise came back and I replaced the belt.

Ok thanks. I replaced the thermostat with a 160 degree one and that worked. It is running warmer than it was before but I also read that the 160 should be better especially if ran in fresh water. I am not sure if that's true.
