Hello all,
Had an issue the other week on the lake - boat would start idle for a few secs, then die. Started, put it in gear and again die. Sounded like an issue I had 2 years ago, changing the fuel filter solved it. So today I changed the fuel filter, hooked up the fake lake, and she started right up. It idled for about 5 mins w/ no issues. I'm 99% sure that was the issue, but Id to be able to give the engine some gas, just to be sure. I don't see anyway of doing that w/out putting it in gear. I know having the prop turn while out of the water is a big no-no, so putting it gear is no an option.
Looking at the shifter - there is just the "pull" lever at the top part of the throttle to engage the tranny. I do not see any other way to give the motor some gas with out engaging the tranny.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
-Rob
