    Idle Control and Throttle Problem

I have had a problem with our 2008 RZ4 for around two months with stalling when coming out of gear into neutral, (and vice versa) its been manageable and you get used to it, but its been getting worse. Mainly when starting I would have to engage neutral and use the throttle to get it started, leave it tick over for 5 mins.
Anyway read a lot of posts on here about IAC valves etc so got some carb cleaner and had a go at cleaning it, there was a lot of carbon build up and the buttefly was quite stiff. But it isnt a valve (unless I have completely the wrong thing, which I am pretty sure I havent) its a motor, and its a sealed unit, we flipped off the retaining clips but couldnt get it to open but theres a rubber seal and we could just see inside and it all looked clean.
When we refitted turned the key it started first time with no throttle so problem solved, or so I thought.

The only other thing I did was spray some grease on the throttle linkage as the throttle handle had started to feel a bit stiff.

We launched the boat and found that we had no throttle, the boat ticks over, but engage a gear and nothing, it clicks into gear but wont run any faster than tick over. Also wont rev in neutral.

Stripped it all off again just to be sure we hadnt done something stupid, checked the electrical connectors on the throttle and the three fuses adjacent to the ECU, fuel pump sounds like its working, you can hear it when you turn the ignition on, so all in all I am stumped!!! My wife has given me non stop grief all day for 'breaking' the boat, especially as we had friends with us !

Does anyone know if there is a fuse on the throttle linkage that I am not finding? or any other ideas?

heres some pics of the throttle body with the IAC (I think) and the wiring connector to the throttle

Do a search on the throttle for your boat. I believe there's a problem with the drive by wire potentiometer in the shifter lever and nothing related to what you did, just coincidence.
Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...

Thanks, hopefully it won't be too hard to get one out here
Is there anyway to test it, I couldn't find a wiring diagram anywhere
