What year was Z1 introduced

Hi,

I'm looking at a used Tige. Seller claims that it is a 2004 Z1. As far as I know, the Z1 was introduced in 2008. Can anyone confirm the year?

I'm pretty sure it was 2008. No chance it was 2004. Is the seller in Nigeria asking for payment via wire transfer?

Haha! No, a local private seller that doesn't know much about boats. Probably obvious from my post, but I'm not that familiar with Tige boats. How do they compare to Malibu?

If its a z1, let him believe it an 04, leverage for a better deal

2008 is the first year for the Z1. Check out the model spec section on this website.

Last 2 digits of the HID will tell you what year model it it is. If it is an 04, i think the only v-drives were a 20, 22 and 24. If its older then an 04, it could be a 21 or 23.

Thanks for the replies. Here are some pics. Really not sure what year this boat is. Exchanges a few emails with the seller and he insists that it is a 2004 Z1 which I know is not possible.

Well, its not a Z1 for sure. The Z1 is a V-drive and that boat is an old ski hull direct drive. Its probably a 21i. Hes proabably about right about the year, but ask him to email you a pic of the HID (hull ID number).

Looks to be a 2003/04 22I or 21I. If we had a pic of the back seat area I could tell for sure.
One thing for sure its ot a Z or V anything.

I am betting 2003 22i. Same tower and dash as my 23v but no spray pockets in the back. Looks longer than a 21.

Wrap says 21i - fancy letter makes it look like what ever you want
