    Atwood driver seat question

The vertical part of the base that controls the height of the seat doesn't stay locked anymore it's bottoming out. Has anyone had this happen? Is there a piston in the base that can be replaced?

Those didnt work from the git-go, so Tige made a running change in the 07 model year. Most that failed got swapped to a fixed post, but some early ones got swapped with another adjustable post. Not sure of the aftermarket source, but I bet thier is one.

Let me know if you need a replacement and which design you have. I acquired one a while back and never installed it because it requires a pilot hole to be cut into the floor. The piston extends @ 2" beyond the bottom of the base plate. Its been sitting in my garage. Ive attached a link to what mine resembles, I can get more info if your interested.
PM me and I will give you my cell.

I'd like to get my hands on a newer Drivers seat from Tige... is there an option to buy one from a dealer, or something similar from another manufacturer??

The Attwood Marine Visionair seat that tige offered for a couple of years has been discontinued by Attwood. Slim chance of finding someone with one still in stock. Your dealer should be able to get price and availabity on what is currently offered.
