I've got a couple seat cushions where it seems that water has gotten inside the cushion and it is holding the water inside.* Even after the rest of the boat, carpet, etc has dried good, if you step on the cushion, water will bubble out of the seams and it will make a "squishy" sound.* These are the cushions in the corners of the rear seats, where everyone goes in and out of the boat.* It is not the removable ones.* We pull those out and they seem to dry pretty good.* Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions for how to get these dried out?* I don't want to have mold start growing in them.

My back cushion gets that way sometime if I have a lot of people on my boat and lots of new people walking on the back area or coming in from the water. What I have done is removed the entire back cushion section and set it up somewhere in my garage so the water will drain to one corner edge and it's usually fine by the end of the week, ready to get soaked again on the weekend.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

Same problem here. Corner (flippable) cushions get especially wet because water that drains down between the various cushions gathers in the fiberglass corners and has no way to drain down and out. I'm considering some drain holes.
Meanwhile, x2 on what Ewok said. I take out the cushions, set them on edge on the dock in the sun, and just watch the water GUSH out of them. An hour later they're dry.

I have left those nuts off since Day One, since I am always having to remove that seat anyway. LOF's every 50 hours means I'm getting under there quite often , plus I'm always experimenting with my ballast system, etc.

Water in foam
2000 20ci. Missouri Ozarks. My stern storage padded lid was filling with water w/ many in and out of the boat. I bet the lid was 100lbs. I took it apart and installed gromets on the back side in the upholstery. There is a good selection at the hardware store. I leave the lid tilted up during the week so it can drain out. You could do the same in the seat cushion. M&M
