    Wash and Spray while surfing

I've been riding all year and haven't had any issues with spray while I'm surfing, but this weekend it was happening on Saturday and I don't know why...

I have a R20, had 3 people on board, front port and starboard sacs at 200lbs, aft port and starboard hard tanks at 250, and the aft port sac at 900lbs, driving at 10.6mph and TAPS at 2.

How do I get rid of the splash that's coming up from behind the swim step in my face?

I think Allan Kendall has a giant "mud flap" that he installed to get rid of it...

I've noticed this from time to time but have never been able to pin point the problem. Typically, it is just a weight, TAPS or speed issue. I make a couple adjustments and it will usually clean up.

Our river is not the straightest so the driver usually has to be fairly careful to try and keep the boat either in a straight line or with a slight amount of steering towards the surf side. If the driver is not paying attention or there is a hard turn opposite the surf side, the wake washes and the spray gets nasty...

My wife does a great job of pulling me but I've noticed a few friends tend to not pay as close attention to how their driving is affecting the wake, especially if I fall way back in the pocket and am struggling to speed up.

Here is my flap, I use it to stop the spray that can come off the fae while surfing.

Does it affect anything at wakeboarding speeds or have you tried it?

Anyone affix a sprayflap to the bottom of a fiberglass platform?

Thinking about one of these on my MB. Any advice on what kind of mud flap, etc?

I have a Z1 and the wash has always been terrible. I'm not ready to share what I have done (sorry) but you can see the before and after photos below. I realize these pics are not taken from the same location (I am working on good before and after photos to share) but you can clearly see the difference in the wash. Even though the pics are not from the same location the boat set up was identical. I will say that this is not a flap, does not affect the drag, nor the wakeboard wake!! Tige, any interest in seeing??? More to come....

yeah, surfgate would work too, but the mudflap seems easier and I'm lazy.
