Lifting boat on a davit help!

I am sick of trailer so I am going to hang my boat from my davits.

I have a spreader bar to lift the stern but need advice on how to lift the bow. I have a friend that uses a 3' spreader bar with a nylon strap going through the tow eye. Is this the best way?

    Any advice??

How big of a davit are you going to use? I've seen Jetskis and dingys lifted by davits, but never a full sized boat. There are several other ways to lift your boat out of the water.

I would use two straps with a shackle through the bow eye on a spreader bar.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

The davits will surely lift this boat.. They were built for my 36' Hydra-sport, which weighs like 15,000lbs or so.

I am thinking about the spreader bar.. Just seems half assed

See if you can find the manual on line for the David themselves. I looked up 2 and one used a spreader on the bow, the other didn't. They both used a spreader on the stern. I don't think it matters very much for the bow.
