My RZ2 always has water in the bilge. I will pull the plug on the ramp and very little will ever come out. I will leave it out for the ride home, but there is always water in the bilge. Maybe this shouldnt bother me but it realy does! Anybody have a fix for this other than finding a steeper ramp? Im thinking about putting a drain in the bottom of the boat that i can reach from the rear transmission access panel. Thoughts?

Most if not all tige boats have this problem due to the convex shape of the hull, because the lowest point of the hull is closer to the helm as the boat sits on the trailer. I have a relatively steep hill in my neighborhood that I park my boat on sunday night before I put it back in the garage. Some guys here also lift up the floor and use a shopvac to get the last little bit of water out.
Many other ski boats have a drain plug at the low point in the hull, not the stern, and I'm thinking about putting one in myself.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

think bottom drain near the gas tank is about the only way like ewok states... think to get at least some out i will move my bilge pump this winter.2011 Tigé RZ4

What I do that seems to work is at the end of the day on the way to the launch I will slow down to about 8-9mph and get the bow good and high and manually turn the bilge pump on through the Tige Touch. I never have water left in the hull and never worry about pulling the plug. Has worked good on my RZR, RZ2 and Z3, can't see why it wouldn't work on all others.

Hunter2010 i do that 8-10mph trick also, but when i lefted the floor in the boat for the first time there was still alot of water in there...
The down side to water in the bilge is mold, bugs, my steering cable is laying in water also, and im sure there are more reasons.
Lifting the floor to wet vac is a pain in the you know what.

I've also noticed that I seem to always have water in the bilge even when we don't take on any rollers. The last time out while I was backing the trailer down to load the boat up a friend who was driving the boat onto the trailer opened up the floor hatch and noticed that one of the ballast pumps had a really bad leak and was pouring water.
According to him, based on his experience with the 4 different V-Drive boats he's owned for the last 10 years or so, the bilge should remain relatively dry unless you take on water. He's never owned a Tige.

Your bilge is supposed to be dry other than what you bring in on your swimsuits or over the bow.
Leaking ballast is a bane of all wakeboats, and it is pretty hard to maintain a 100% leak free ballast system with multiple sacks/tanks etc.
The deepest point on my malibu is also in the front of the boat. I think due to stringer configuration, Tige can't really put an access hatch in the floor next to the driver on most models, but I might be mistaken. This would be really nice.
I don't think old water in the bilge ever hurt any boat. But it bugs me too.Be excellent to one another.
