    Tige Pronunciations...

I returned home from a two week vacation in Lake Tahoe yesterday and really wanted to share something with all of you. I took my Tige's to the Lake and ran into something very funny. I was surprised at how many people didnt know how to pronounce tige! It sometimes got really frustrating... Have any of you run into this? Im gonna do my best to write them out exactly how they sound. I got, Teejay, tigeee, tishay, tayge and the one I found the most funny was a guy who said he used to work for the company and that it was actually pronounced taiygee... um ok... Have any of you run into this? I found it hilarious!

When I called about a Tige, I asked the salesman about the "teeg". He quickly corrected me by saying Tige' (as in a tiger without the r). I bought it the next day.

We only picked up Tige as a dealer about a month ago, and I get that almost every day when people walk into the shop. We have screen shots on our counter of our first load of boats coming in, and every day someone comes in, sees the pictures, and says "Oh you guys picked up Teeg?"

I had to do it...couldn't take the "Teague" anymore. Wanted to make sure I was able to educate as many people as possible while on the road.

Most people struggle with the pronunciation but I'm used to it.My last name is pronounced Tyson. So I get all kinds of variations on that too. I would say most people guess Tiege or Teejay. But I always help them out with the tiger without the "r" example. Then they will usually remember.

My dad has a new york accent, so I don't even have to tell him to drop the "r". He always pronounces "tiger" like "tige." And whenever I explain it to anyone who knows him I just tell them to say tiger like my dad does. They all get it right away.
