I was out today for a few hours with no problem, then the speed control started malfunctioning.
First symptom was after a rider fell. Once they got back up, the speed control light was solid (which it should be once it has taken over) but it did not take over at all. Turned the boat off, and back on and the speed control began functioning properly and stayed that way for an hour.
Then I was riding and we slowly began losing speed. We were probably down to 10 mph from it being set at 20 mph. Again, turned the boat off and on, and everything went back to normal.
Finally, speed control was set and again we started loosing speed. I started adding throttle and we would speed up temporarily, then the speed control would take over and start slowing us down. The indicator light was flashing in a pattern that I couldn't figure out. My input on the speed control had no effect. Couldn't turn it off, couldn't speed it up, slow it down or anything else.
Any ideas? Hoping to head back out tomorrow, so worst case scenario, how do I just disable it? Thanks.
