I grew up in Scranton, and every summer my family would rent a cabin on the Rideau Canal at Chafeys Lock for 2-4 weeks. It's about an hour drive north of Kingston, Ontario. We were close to a few small lakes in PA and about 45 min drive to Lake Walenpaupack.

Now I live in WA state, close to Idaho and the lakes and terrain are very similar to the Rideau Canal. If you ever get a chance, take your boat up on the Rideau, it's magical up there.

I'm in Pittsburgh....bought an RZ2 this year...I've got a slip at Cheat Lake in Morgantown...we've trailered all over this summer as well, Smith Mtn, Lake Erie, Stonewall, Deep Creek, Ohio River, Mon River...and have a trip to Sommersville Lake in two weeks...we're pretty much novice level at everything we do...but we're having fun doing it!

Seneca looks beautiful...how warm or cold is the water? how much boat traffic does the lake typically get? might need to add it to the rotation.

Seneca is really nice water can be chilly. Early in the season. It is mid 70's july and August. There is very little boat traffic. If you decide to go up let me know maybe meet up.
