    Best aftermarket impeller for Z3

Looking to get a spare impeller just in case the inevitable happens. I've heard great things about a company in Austin, but didn't know what you guys thought the best pitch was for these boats. Boat is primarily used for surfing. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

No worries. There are 4-5 threads active right now about props. In most cases, owners purchase an upgrade prop and run it as the primary prop, then relegate the original as a spare.

Tige is using a couple different props on the larger boats, depending on the engine. What prop do you have now? Knowing where you are starting from aids in choosing an upgrade.

Installing the upgraded prop & storing the factory one as a backup was definitely the plan. The dealer said he was going to install a "surf prop" before we picked it up, but I honestly doubt they did. Therefore, I have no clue what prop actually is on the boat. I was told by a few buddies to check out nettleprops.com out of Austin. Just really need to know what pitch etc.to look for

The prop part number, diameter and pitch are stamped on the hub of the prop.

On my Z3 with the PCM 409 I am running the Acme 1235. Hole shot is unbelievable and I have it sacked out for surfing.

My z3 came with the 343, but so far, so good. Had 1500 lbs extra in the port rear, & didn't notice any difference in the ability to get me up on the shredd stixx, & I'm around 220 lbs.

My Boat came new with the ACME 537 and seems great with and without full ballast. That is with 1050 each rear sack and the largest aftermarket they could put up front. Don't recall that one. Just wish I knew the true difference. Maybe I would say differently if I tried something new.

Wow, I'm surprised the 537 can handle the Z3, especially loaded with ballast. Can you get on plane (ie wakeboard speed ~22ish) with that amount of ballast full?

1235 is great. Been looking at the 1617 to try as well as we surf primarily.

I put a 1235 on before my last outing, & noticed a much improved "hole shot". Seems to have lost a little top end speed (~2-3mph), but since 95% of what I do with the boat is under 25mph, I really don't care.

They do with the small engine. The 24ve and rz4 used to all come with the 537
