We are headed to Lake Broken Bow this Friday, and i wanted to see if anybody here has been there?
Can you drink on the lake? Any lake issues i should know about?

    Thanks in advance!

I haven't been there but have plans to go - let me know how the trip turns out. I bought my boat from a guy on Lake Texoma, and he had taken it to BB several times.

I've been wanting to visit the lake also. Let me know how it is and how long of a drive. I live in Grapevine.

Lake Broke Bow was a beautiful!

The drive was rough tho. We stopped about 2/3 of the way there in Paris Tx to find that i had one very hot hub on the right rear. The same one i trashed last year, and had to have the axle re-stubbed. After getting back on the highway i noticed that my center window on the boat was busted out. WTH?? So i had to take the window frame out and knock the rest of the glass out, and worry about that and the wheel bearings for the rest of the trip.
First thing we do when we get to the cabin is brake down that hub and inspect bearings. Everything looked good so we cleaned everything and repacked them. After that the trip was great other than driving home with that hot *** hub! I may have a sticking caliper? I have had more trouble with this Road Runner Trailer in one year, than i have had with all my other boat trailers combined (14 years).

          Better pics to come.

Was it easy to find good water? Most of it deep, or is there a lot of shallow areas to avoid?

I have had the center window bust out before as well. Mess to clean up. Cost $50 to get it replaced. I have no idea how it happened, just looked back at one point and saw it was shattered.

The lake is very easy to navigate. Most islands are marked with a white buoys, there was one place we got out of the channel, but that was up river, and that was my fault for not paying attention to the landscape, and following a guy hauling the mail in an I/O.

The lake is atleast 100ft deep everwhere in the channel, and lots of deep water with wind breaks, and or large islands to hide behind. I have never been to a lake so deep. The lake was 9.5ft low, but we saw 165ft deep water. Check out the pics of this cliff. Both pics are the same cliff.

Great scenery, and zero other boats. Makes me want to move to TX more than I already did. How far is this from the Austin area?

Broken bow is in south east Oklahoma. I would guess a 7-8 hour drive from Austin. There where boats on the lake, but there are so many place to hide on that lake!

Sounds like a place we should meet up next summer. We have talked about going down to try it out. Its about 4 1/2 hour trip for us.

Which part of the lake were you on and which would you say was the best(according to the map you provided)?

                              Thanks in advance.
