    ski pole booty?

tired of the ski pole at the back of the boat bangin sh*t up. does someone make a padded 'booty' for those? OR maybe someone has diy idea. i was thinking thick pipe insulation but if there's an aethetic piece made just for that I'd prefer to go that route

I think some people have just removed it and glassed it in, or put a small rubber puck in the hole to cover it. That is a good option if you never use it.

With a title like that, I was a little afraid to see what kind of booty you were talking about.
    Be excellent to one another.

nah..we use it for tubing sometime. you get non surfers..lotta chicks can't surf so we beat em up in the tubes to keep them happy. double tubing..sometimes triple. they fkn love it..just needs some padding. it's killing my ocean boards

How much vertical height do you need to cover? My first thought was to get a roll of tool box drawer liner and a can of spray adhesive.

In that case I like the beer coozy idea. You can get them custom printed pretty cheaply online, perhaps with your boat name upside down or some kind of line about always covering your pole.

How far up does your pylon sit? Does it sit fairly flush? Can you just glue some 3mm neoprene to the top? you could probably make out out of an old wetsuit arm, use fishing line and stitch a circular cover to the end of the arm.

Find the right pool noodle some have differnt inside diameters and cut it to the lenght ya need or the coozy idea. But ordering coozy better get you some extra for yourself or it will never be on the pylon

An idea I had is to make something that fits over it that also has a flag holder so you could fly a flag when not towing etc. like an old ChrisCraft at presentation angle

It would be clamp-able or Velcro-able. I don't want to drill in a Flag holder & the tower one is too high & no way to secure the flag. My last one flew out in a stiff breeze

                        Just a thought

                          Buy a Malibu!

At least name it. Friends named their's Fred, so they could at least curse at it or say things like "don't let Fred get too friendly with you."
