Is Wet Sounds under warranty?

Does anyone know if the WetSounds speakers are under the initial boat warranty? I have had the boat for almost 3 months and I noticed this past weekend that my subwoofer under the helm has a cut in it! Not happy ...

I had a tower speaker blow out in the first year and my dealer covered it for me

Regardless of whether boat warranty or WS warranty covers it you are within both warranty periods if the boat is 3 months old.

If the cut appears to be the result of something hitting it, then I would highly doubt it. Unless you could get them to believe it came and was installed like that? If you mean a spontaneous separation, then I think you would get it covered, no questions asked.

Typically, physical damage to a speaker (tear, cut, hole, etc) is not covered under warranty unless it looks like it is a defect where it wasn't assembled properly or the adhesive failed that bonds the surround to the cone.

If you think it was damaged while it was being installed at the factory then I'd talk to your Tige dealer or call Harvey at Tige. I'm sure they will take care of it.

Since there is minimal quality control leaving the factory, it seems plausible that the damage could have indeed been from installation.....man.

Nothing to my knowledge has hit it ... I just noticed it because I was adjusting the bass under the helm and got close to look at it ... the dealership is taking care of it ...
