I have pretty close to the same boat. 1999 2200i. Funny, I have the same ding in my hull as in the pictures (was done by previous owner). Must be something with the trailer is all I can think of. Bothers the hell out of me, but matching the gel coat after all these years would be tough. No keel damage though, I couldn't imagine beaching my boat with it's really low draft. I anchor off-shore with a bungee line and a stern line to a big rock or tree stump.

Overall, I love my boat. I just installed an Aerial tower (see pic attached). I water ski, so the TAPS is a must. It really flattens out the wake and makes the cross over smooth. Then I pump the TAPS up and create the wake for tubing the kids. Would agree that the gauge is a must for knowing where the TAPS plate is set.

I agree with what everyone said. Make sure you test drive it. Check for vibrations as that is a good indicator if the prop is good and/or drive shaft is bent.

As far as the speedo's? I set mine using my handheld GPS, but I rarely use them. I go by the Tach for skiing and the pitch of the kids screams for tubing

Overall great boat. Lots of power, room, seating, and it turns on a dime.

I ordered some of the spectrum Tige specific white to fix mine. Im no body man so if you look close you can see it still but I was very pleased with the results of it and how easy it was to do. You can see a slight varation in the color due to oxidation of the 1997 gelcoat but looks a lot better than the cipped gel coat.

Thanks for the input, guys! I won't be able to look at it till next weekend but hopefully it'll still be there. I just hope the test drive goes well. I'm traveling over 4 hours to get there but I don't mind driving if I can get a good deal. Just don't wanna drive that far and it be a POS. When the wife and I were looking for a tahoe for her we thought we found the perfect one at a great price. Drove 10 hours to get there just to find out the pics didn't show how abused the vehicle was. We actually had a secondary plan in case that didn't work which was go to the coast which was near! So it wasn't a totally wasted trip

          Ruger,

Thanks for the link! I think I've come across that site before, but I'm not sure how to tell what color to get. The first pic I posted was a dusk, so it doesn't show the color of my boat. It's a Tan color, so I'm thinking I may just have to call Tige and get the "name" of the color. I put up another picture from last year, pre-tower, in better light.

          Mcannibal,
I bought this boat in Sacramento last year after searching for a long time and deciding on a Tige. It was IMMACULATE! The previous owner was a fanatic and I appreciate that. I test drove it on Folsom lake and it drove perfect! The only flaw, and this was incredibly minor, was the previous owner hit a wake and he "ash'd" the floor by the drivers seat. It is so minor that it just looks like tiny stain (about the size of a small shirt button). Oh...and also the damage on the side hull as I indicated before.

So, take your time and go through it pretty thoroughly. I don't mind saying, I picked mine up for $13,500 last year, and I paid close to his asking price because it was so nice. You don't want to inherit problems, will just make life frustrating when the point is to have fun!

I drove 3 1/2 hours to get mine. It wasn't in immaculate condition but, I got a smoking deal and the few things wrong with it, I knew I could easily fix. I just used those things to my advantage.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Ah that color would be harder to match. Not sure what they would call it but bet they can tell you.
