Need help! Took on water through exhaust and it melted

So I took out my new to me 1993 fslm for the first time today and have two major problems. First we took on water, fast! Found that the starboard side exhaust "muffler?" has a crack in it just behind the hose clamp from the header. That's where we took on all the water. And second there's melted bits of these mufflers coming out the transom flappers.

My thoughts are new mufflers obviously from both problems. But why the melting? Water pump?

And where to source replacement parts. A quick google search returned zilch, but not really sure what I'm looking for.
Please help. I'm new to this type of boat and hope to be able to salvage the rest of the season.

i would first change the impeller its simple to do and talkes about 20min to put in id check that out 1st.
