I have. 2007 rz2 with the 340hp marine power motor. I have a 1235 and have used it for surfing with the biggest sacs that fit in lockers. I even modified the lockers so they are about 5" farther back. The 1235 is great. I am also at 6500 feet, which is significant. With a few people at 12.2mph I'm at about 2800rpm. Now for top end, I can do 42mph at the same altitude with a light load. The 1235 is perfect so far.

I'd be surprised under normal water conditions if you could do 40mph with the 1235. I know the boats are different but my RZR with the EX343 and 1631 prop stock would do right at 44mph if the water was smooth and I gave it some time to get there. With the 1235, the boat barely touched 37mph.
FWIW: My 24Ve with EX343 has the 1235 prop and my top speed (unballasted) is right at 40-41MPH at ~2500 feet above sea level. I have huge low-end power (which I need for my ultraballast system) and hit that top speed very quickly.
Because of this, I'm surprised a shorter and lighter boat is topping out at 37MPH. Are you sure there isn't something wrong? Food for thought....

We are on a river that is not real big so I really didn't leave it wide open for long so that could be part of it. I also can't raise the TAPS plate over 1 or it porpoises bad so I'm not sure if that's normal. Actually, I really can't use my TAPS plate over 2 for wakeboarding or surfing either without it adversely affecting the wake or porpoising.
Another issue may be the hull clearance. I only have about 5/8" clearance to the hull with the 1235. I just got the original 1631 repaired and am anxious to try it out to really compare it to the 1235.
Ive been reading the 1273? is like the 1235 in the low end but doesnt rev as high on top?
Only differecne between the two is the cup.

Ok, so I spoke to Jim..super nice guy! He grilled me on my setup and rec the 1847. He says since I don't load my boat heavy...stock ballast and maybe an extra 1000 for surfing....I wouldn't need the 1235 or 1273. He said those props are for heavy weighted boats and if you didn't run that much weight, the performance would be off....ie revs. Looks liked the 1847 is like the 1273 except a half inch smaller. Apparently the cup is like a fine tuning for the rpms?

Now, see, thats a more appropriate reason to not use the 1235.

FYI, I put the 1235 back on today and with just me and my 2 kids, TAPS at 2, I hit 42 and change, fairly quickly. I like the 1235 on my boat for some things but I don't think I'm really getting the most out of it due to hull clearance and bow weight. I'm probably going to sell it and try something different. PM me if anyone is interested.

I'd be interested in the 1235 for my RZR. Pm with price.
Ok, so I got the 1235 from Houstonshark.....one word....Awesome! This is how the boat should have left the factory.
I get 41 mph out of it at 5200 rpm. It gets on plane and out of the hole like it should. I had like 44 on the 537 at wot, so not a huge change.
Super smooth and no vibration, no cavitation. I'm happy.
Now, can someone tell me how to get -2 on taps? Across the lake at 35 mph, the nose porpoises even tho the water was glass. I need a -2 on the taps........can it be adjusted and recalibrated so I don't bounce all the way down the lake?

Add bow weight it's proposing cause there's to much weight in the rear. Is the taps at 1? Is read ballast empty? Where are people sitting? All in the rear fill the bow ballast some if needed.
