Barefooted Today

Got back from trying to learn how to barefoot this afternoon. I just wanted to let you all know that the falls hurt as bad as they look. After 4 beat downs I called it a day. Sorry no pictures .

Now its back to work with a sore body.

Are you using a boom? My kids just started but we use the boom so falls aren't really an issue so far

Joe they have instructional videos that should help.I found the barefoot suit really helps. The other thing that was key for me is to just put your toes over the rope till you get going then ride on your back with it rolled forward,like your bending over. Once your bouncing on your butt your ready to put your feet in the water.For a footing speed you divide your weight by ten and add 22mph . Good Luck!

It was a spur of the moment thing. My ski buddy used to barefoot a ton and next thing I knew his barefoot boom was out and I was in a barefoot suit holding on. Having the boom made it really easy to start and get up to speed. But it was in the afternoon so there was some residual chop on the water. I was able to get up, but once i started to hit rougher water I couldn't keep my feet under me. And when I tried to get back on my butt my heels dug in and game over. I can't wait to give it another go early in the AM.
