    Perfect Pass control pad issues

I have the Wakeboard Pro Perfect Pass on my 04 22v. Last time I took it out, the buttons on the control pad were not working. The LCD screen worked fine and showed everything like is was supposed to, but it would not respond. Then after about 2 hours on the water it started working fine. Any ideas??

Depending on the buttons, there could be a bad or loose connection. I have an 04 22V with Perfect Pass also, and the buttons feel like membrane switches to me, so I expect there is a flexible connector that goes down to a circuit board somewhere in side. Or, it might be direct connection to the board. Either way, if the connection has loosened up with vibration, it could become intermittent as you describe. You might consider carefully taking it apart to see if there is a loose connection.

Also, if the button makes contact on the circuit board, try taking a pencil eraser and scrubbing the button contacts. This can remove any oxidation that may have built up on the board.

    Good luck!
