Should I buy a 2012 Tige RZR? convince me of it

Ok I know that the RZR has the best wake surf, and a great wake for wakeboarding. It handles amazing, and takes the waves like a champ. Basically everything performance wise on this boat is amazing. Here are my issues with the 2012 RZR that I took on demo yesterday. I would love to hear some advice from some of the people on here

-Vinyl stitching quality....there are seems all over that are already starting to seperate and its brand new. My 10 year old Crownline interior still looks like brand new. The dealer said they would replace under warranty but this doesnt give me confidence in how it will hold up 5 years down the road.

-Bimini top velcro stitching already shows small tears in the top, and the bimini seems difficult to take off and fold up. Am I missing something?

-The Tige Touch screen seems more finicky then the Malivu, and MC touch system. The Tige Touch seems slow to respond, and sometimes the ballast didnt seem to respond to the correct imputs. Also I noticed that every once in a while the screen would almost flash a different color on it sort like it would go blue for a millisecond!?

-Steering effort on a turn. Maybe this is normal, maybe not but trying to steer this boat at any speed about 10mph with a hard turn was very difficult to turn on an agressive turn. No other boat I have driven has been difficult to steer the wheel.

-Throttle sensitivity. The throttle imput was not linear and was hard to just give it a little throttle off from idle. I worry that my wife will not feel comfortable with this when manuverring the boat around.

-Radio tuner: How do you just bump an FM station from 88.7 to 88.9 with the stock radio? May be a stupid question but me and the sales guy couldnt figure out how to do it on Touch, or radio

My local dealer has only been selling Tiges now for a year and maybe they dont know how to setup a boat, but I would think the boats come ready to go from factory and the above issues shouldnt be affected by the dealer. With all this being said and concerned about I love the boat, but just makes me think about if it makes sense dropping $60k on this boat.

Where are you in MI? We are in Glen Arbor, MI and have a 2011 RZ4 and LOVE the boat, wouldn't go to any other brand. I know MI recently got a Tige' dealer (Skipper Buds downstate?) I have not been in a RZR but I have heard good things... Wish you the best in your purchase.

Okay let me address your concerns...
Vinyl quality is awesome it's gore tex stitching, its not letting go
Steering is stiff and heavy. Think about how heavy the steering is on a super car? If it was loose like and MC you'd throw someone out of the boat because of the way it handles
Yes TIGE touch is slow but maliview has had major major issues and the BIG gauge may be fast but automatically adjusts settings while you run.
The throttle you will get used to.
Most importantly. The wake is much bigger than the Competitors 20 footers. No question

excellent post, thats the kind of info im looking for. I have had a C6 Z06 so I know what you mean about tight steering. I was just surprised at the actual effort needed to pull the boat around, as the malibu didnt require that kind of effort to turn around and it handles pretty good.

As far as vynle goes, here in fla. we have custormers with interiors that look like they never left the show room and others that look 10 years old, durability depends on care and usage.
Steering ,the Tiges dont slip out in the turns like most inboards so it feels like more imput , with our ski team the Tige is ideal for tighter and more precise steering.
As to the screen the funny thing there is Malibu , Tige and MC, are all made by the same vender and software, we havent had any unuassual issues with any of them.
One important note is fuel economy, Tige is aprox. double in efficiency of the other brands , and thats noticible.
As for durability my 2004 has over 1200 hard use hours and still runs and handles like new.

As others have said the best advice is to test drive various manufacurers boats that meet your qualifications. I am a Tige fan but I also like Supra Sunsport 20V, Mastercraft, Natique, Malibu and Cennturion depending on how many hours I plan on using each season, how much glitz I need, and various other facors including cost. Tige continues to be innovative and has addressed issues that earlier models had. IMO you han'g go wrong with a Tige if you get a good deal.
