    Prices on 2002 23v???

I posted this earlier in the v drive forum and realized it might belong here? Anyway, My wife and I are seriously looking at getting back into boating. Having said that the boat inventory around us is mostly newer. We would like to stay under 30000 and have found a 2002 23v at a local dealer. It is the ltd with 550 hours. Normal wear and tear. NADA says it should be around 28 but I know that boats seem to go for more around here. The dealer said 29000 is the lowest they will go. We are in Boise Idaho. Any info would be much appreciated. Thank You

Seems a little high to me for a 2002, I bought a 2004 24V for 25K a year ago. I believe I got a great deal but just from what I have seen 29K for a 2002 seems a little high. Where's the ski platform?

I forgot to say I love my Tige' and would highly recommend owning one. This site is great for help and is very addictive!

I was waiting for someone to point out the lack of deck. Not sure why it was off for the pics but it is on now. If I could find a 04 for 25 I would jump on it, as well as 50 other people. Not gonna happen here. We seem to have a lot of people from Oregon and Washington coming here to buy. Seems to be that if you want a decent boat you have to pay. NADA says 28000 for average retail. I think, after reading on here, the spray pockets and year are scaring people off. I am not worried about those things. We are looking for a good, big family boat that my boys can grow up in. I have an 8 yo and 6 yo. Just not sure if we can swing it. Does anyone know if banks will loan on a 10 yo boat? We have a big chunk to put down. Thanks for all the help.

They will probably go 36 months but if you find a credit union they will go longer or they can make an exception where a national bank can't.

I just sold my 2002 23v to a buddy for 25k. It had perfect pass stargazer, built in 3 ballast tanks (with ballast puppies), updated stereo with dbot5 tower speakers, and I had fiberglass work done to the rear end to fill in the spray pockets. It had 510hrs on it. If it wasn't my buddy I would have listed it for 28k and probably taken 26.5 to 27k for it. Hope this helps

Wells Fargo does loans on boats 10 years old or newer. VERY High percentage rate though even with good credit (11%). I turned around and refinanced it through my credit union for 1/2 that. Good Luck.

Price seems high to me, but as you stated it may be a supply & demand thing in your area. You may want to expand your search area if you want to purchase at a lower price. I've seen mid 2000's with less than 250 hrs priced from $25-$30K in S. Cal, Nevada & Arizona.
