Seems like it would cause alot of drag and therefore consume more fuel. But it's a good idea if you have regular and goofy riders all the time.
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

Interesting to say the least!!! Would be kool to see first hand or to see a full write up on the actual mechanism/part of the surf gate.

That's a very interesting idea, very clean face, I can't wait to see one of these in person on a trailer and on the water.

DIdn't Ragboy post something similar a few weeks ago, I believe it was RJ and he was surfing regular and Ragboy was demonstrating a Jabsco transfer pump between the two sides and he went regular to goofy as well. Could have been dreaming of it though, I did a quick search and could not find the exact video.

If he did it, then depending on the time of his and the Malibu's, might not have been the first wake transfer.
The worst day of boating is still the better than the best day of work......, unless you bend your prop.

I hear 'Surf Gate' also doubles as a time machine...you can also be sent back in time to the old days of surfing very small longboard waves

After surfing behind a 23' wakesetter this weekend the Malibu needs all the help it can get. There is just nothing there at all. Beautiful boat but no surf wake.

                          Actually, it sounds like Bu.

For all the hype, that wake is very unimpressive. Before we figured out that listing the boat would help us, we used to do transfers all the time. This was back in '03. It's been my dream to have a two sided wake for a long time now. I got away from it just because you can get so much more wake from listing the boat. I haven't tried it yet with the new set up. I think I will.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I have seen transfers done with an X45. It was as simple as going from a right handed turn to left. And I bet any boat could do it if weighted more or less equally on both sides, just use the turning to clean up the wave on the side you want to surf.

I think that the surfgate has some huge potential. I am sure that it will sell boats. Nobody knows yet how the boat in the video was weighted. I would venture a guess that wave is stock ballast only. My wave is bigger than that, but I have 1200 over stock.
                              Be excellent to one another.
