    I need tower speakers

In what department are they not meeting your expectations? Knowing what you have now and how they are powered, is important in order to make any kind recomendation.

I recommend Mikes Liquid Audio. Great products, fair prices and expert advice

        Good luck.

not sure what brand but they're black and look stock. The are little black barrels appx 8" in diameter.

If we crank the tunes up high the bass just kills all the boat speakers. It's a Clarion head unit and I haven't figured out how to dial down the bass.

I do have a decent amp to power a second pair so all I need is MORE speakers. Hopefully a set to match my 2. That would be great if someone had a stock pair layin' around . We're kinda desperate as most everyone wants/has to have music when they're out there. They all bring IPODS plus we just ordered SERIUS/XM

Sounds like you have some tuning issues, so adding a 2nd pair would just double the crappy sound. What Clarion head-unit do you have? The model number should be on the front some where. If not, post a pic and we will point you to the needed info to set the internal EQ to flat. We also need to revisit the tuning/settings on any amps you have.

Depending on what your listening goals are, adding a 2nd pair of what you currently have, just may not get you what you seek. If you have small coax speakers and you want to hear crystal clear music while wake-boarding, then adding a 2nd pair of the same will not do it. If you have a pair of small HLCD's and you want smooth sound when surfing, adding a 2nd pair of the same is not going to get you there. If your amp is underpowered, adding more speakers and you will still have an underpowered system.

My spare amp is a fairly new 300 watt Alpine. We're not trying to go real big..just make it workable. Plus my budget is pretty skimpy at the moment. If someone has a spare pair of stock ones laying around and wants to give me the 'club' deal that will for sure fit my thin finances.

I'm not close to boat right now so I can't give you the Clarion model #. I need to figure out how to 'equalize' it for starters. The sound is actually damn good..I just need to kill some of the bass..add some mid..dial the treble etc.

Personally I've never seen a more confusing face plate on a head unit. Crazy. Some of the buttons have really odd names. Like RSR. What the f*ck does RSR stand for? If someone knows about stock stereos please tell me how to access (if possible) the equalizer mode..

I believe if I can 'tune' it and add the extra speakers it should do what I want.

Sure I'd love to drop a grand or more on some BA' speakers. Don't have it. The new board was the last big thing till' pay day. I know I'm being cheap. Next year I'll go for the sweet head unit..big *** woof and monster tower speakers. But this year I gotta go low budget..AND I need something quick to shut the crew up. I want it too but their whining is killin me

How can I find the best espresso machines under 200 dollars? I was able to find out about such devices thanks to this useful site.

You should be able to go to the Clarion website and dig for the user manual for your stereo. Most head units are pretty intuitive and if you play around with the it you should be able to find the tone settings. Your amps may need some adjustment as well. You can adjust crossover frequencies and gains to help, out.

I have an old Clarion CMD 5 that has started to malfunction. Since all we do is connect our iPhones and stream music, I’m installing a Wetsounds BT and 4-zone equalizer and removing the head unit entirely.

Yeah, there a reason I didn’t mention the XM.
