Throttle Handle Comes off

I have a 04 Tige 22V riders edition and started having issues with the throttle handle coming off. It was scary when it happen last year as it was in gear and I had to shut it down with the key. Their is a little set screw that seems to be all that holds it on. I tighten but it seems to work its way loose all the time. Yesterday it came off as I was reversing to slow down coming into the shore station and of course back right out and had to shut the key off......very scary!!!

Should I replace the set screw, is it possible that it is bad? My neighbors have MC & Malibu WS and there throttle handles seem to be much more robust than my Tige's. Have to find a fix for this.

I would get some threadlock at your local hardware store and put it on the threads and tighten good.

Seems to be a common problem. Mine was loose too, thread lock (blue). It's been fixed for a whole season.
