pics of today on the lake. Surf wake pics

Please let me know if anyone has suggestions on how to get a bigger wake. 700ibs in the rear locker, 700ibs on the floor in the back, 700 on the floor in the front of the motor, 300 ibs in front. Was going about 13 mph, taps 2 to 3.

Looks pretty good, did you try surfing it? What was it like if you slow down to 10.5 - 11.5? Looks like Utah lake.

Great pics, we went out yesterday and today. I run about 1000 lbs in my ski locker and about 500 upfront. Taps at 3.5-4 and speed between 9-11 mpgh The best thing that will make your wake bigger is to go to Deer Creek or Jordanelle. That's about as good as it gets in 7-9 feet of water.

Yea, Im getting sick of Utah lake. The water has been so choppy lately. We were at Echo last Sunday and it was sick. The water would be choppy then a few minuters later would be glass. The wake was sweet to. I really like my boat, but after the fat sacs are full there is not to much room for very many people. I wish I lived on a deeper lake.

Deer Creek and Jordanelle water are cleaner as well. Probably colder though.

Willard and Pineview are not too far either. There is another lake down south, Yuba, that I have heard is good but don't know of myself.

Skippabcool. I did surf it. It was pretty good. My board was feeling really slow today. I was having a hard time cracking up the top of the wake. If I go any slower it just washes up.

Your still closer than a two hour drive that I have. One plus for me to move back to Utah would be to have a lake that was closer.

I live about 5 streets down from the private marina were we go. Its part of our community. Its pretty nice other than the lake being 5 ft deep this year. I found it almost 6 ft today

If it were me, I would ditch one of the 700# sacs and slow it down to about 11 or so.

I think in an I drive with a shallow lake that might be as good as it gets. In the V drives most people have the best of luck with only weight in the rear, just filling the entire rear locker on the surf side.

I would think that's your biggest problem. In my experience, anything less than 10 feet deep really knocks down the surf wake. I think there can even be an impact between 10 and 15 feet.

^^^^^ This is your biggest problem! You will never see the potential of your wave until you find deeper water. 10' is a good place to start, but I prefer 15'+

When I am surfing and my wife is driving, I can immediately tell when she hits a shallow section of the lake. The wave will lose push and shrink so fast most of the time I fall out the back of the wave.

My boys went to Mud Lake today, and they said that it was glass early on until that big storm blew through today. Mud Lake is a long way to go for you, but you can always find good water there. The nice thing about Utah Lake over the others, is that no matter how crowded the Marinas are, you can always find somewhere to get away from other boats.

Skippabcool, that is a long drive for a lake, you need to move back
