We always tow with the tower up. Bimini down. Saran wrap everything.

Unlike some others we also tow with our cover on.

Don't forget to pack the saran wrap with you so you can use it on the way back.

Amazing thing about the saran wrap is that it seems to be unaffected by heat of Utah in late July.
I make a trip to Utah from Colordao, 600 plus miles one way, every year and travel with the tower up. The lake I go to on a regular basis is a two hour drive one way. Bimini is off and either wrapped in towels on the back seat or in the truck bed. I have a snap cover and it is on. There is some work but we clean the tower before and after. It takes time to apply the saran wrap, so I figure it is about 6's. Maybe cleaning it before hand helps. It doesn't take too long to wipe it down. One key is the sooner it is cleaned the easier. The baby wipe idea seems good.

I had a Sampson Razor Tower and unless you built bracing for it I would not tow with it down. It will put a lot of stress on the folding billets and the front mounts. What I found made the bugs easy to get off the tubes was putting a light coat of armor all or other seat protectant on the horizontal bars that catch the bugs. Any over spray easily wipes off the vinyl and fiberglass. I also bought speaker covers for my Pro 60's from chpthrl which made them a breeze to clean. Cleab towerwith a magic eraser of teflon pad....
