    Thoughts on PRO485?????

I want more sound out of the tower, and for sure more mid bass!

Is it hard to mount a PRO485 on a Alfa Z tower?
    Whats the head room like?
    Easy of folding tower?
Is a SYN6 the right amp for a pair of PRO80, and PRO485.

All insite is welcome, oh and i would love to see pics of people with a PRO485 on the Alfa Z!?

I have a single 485 on my tower powered by a kicker 450.2 and it can be heard on the rope pretty well. Sounds great parked too.

Is it hard to mount a PRO485 on a Alfa Z tower? Currently, yes.
Whats the head room like? They hang down about 11 or so inches.
Easy of folding tower? Adds about 40+ lbs to the tower

As a thought, I would consider selling the Pro80's and Syn-6 and getting a pair of Rev-10 and Either an SD-2, HT-4 or Syn-4 to power them. This would greatly improve the mid-bass over the Pro80's with a much easier install.

I have thought about the REV10's alot, but every system i hear with A PRO485 really rocks! I have only listened to one pair of REV10's tho, and unsure of the power supply. I have also thought about adding a pair of the MB-8's.
        My current system is
        6 XS650 powered by Syn6
        2 subs powered by Syn2
        1 pair of Pro80 powered by Syn4
        So i have 3 choices
        1. Pro80, and MB-8 powered by Syn6= 200rms, 155rms
        2. Pro80, and PRO485 powered by Syn6= 200rms, 600rms
        3. Rev10 powered by Syn4= 400rms each
For some reason i just keep wanting more!

my thoughts are that if you never hit waves or double ups and never have rough water it would be awesome. On the other hand though that sure puts a lot of weight on the tower and could really make it shake. but your question was has anyone seen it done so i answer yes... on a company show boat, looks great sounds amazing. Its a compnay in Midland TX, called Insane Customz, http://insanekustomz.com/only about an hour or little over from the Tige Factory, they do some really cool stuff.

this is their Malibu that they take with them to boat shows or wake contests or really anything to advertise!

After you hear that thing bang its "insane" no pun, i like the idea its just tough to measure the weight and bounce and shake of the tower

If it was me I'd get the new Rev 410 instead of the 485. Wet Sounds discontinued the 485 when the 410 came out. If you want more sound might as well spend the extra few hundred bucks and get the latest and greatest.

I have a pair (2) of Pro 485s on my tower. I hit big wakes and I even leave them on the boat when trailering down to Lake Powell. I have the Xplosion tower and not a Tige tower, but I am sure the tower will handle the weight. You can hear my boat, before you see it.

I dont think tower shake is a problem on the Alpha Z tower. Its soild! Im more worried about the extra wieght cause i fold the tower to get in the garage.
I know the Pro485's are discontinued, and i should be able to find a good deal because of that, and they will match my PRO80's. I just dont know about the mounting of the PRO485 on my tower?

best option would be to sell the PRO 80 and step to the REV 10 off the SYN-4.

Mounting a single PRO 485 or REV 410 on the alpha z tower will be hard. since the tow point swivels up and down. you would have to space the center mounted speaker down enough to clear. You would also have to through bolt it which means drilling the tower and a lot of custom fabrication.

I am working on a adapter for the alpha z tower to mount a pair of REV 410 using the factory locations. However the angles and machine work is proving to be very difficult and very expensive. So even if I do get it made, it wont be cheap to mount the REV 410's to the Alpha Z tower.
