Bought a real nice 98 pre2100 and the taps quit working almost imediately. I do not know much about this system at all. not real sure what is wrong. Any tips on where to start troubleshooting would greatly be appreciated. Without it working I really can't utilize all the fun this boat has to offer.

Look under the helm, you should see 2 blac relays (small black square boxes). see if they are clicking when you push the putton on the shifter. If they are bad you can get them at any auto parts store for about $6. If thats not the case check oil level in the pump.

Ty for the response. When I do hit the button on the shifter, there is no indication of the pump running at all so I will start with an electrical issue. Ty.Comment
