I think I may need some professional assistance.
Here is the background:
purchased the brand new REV 3-Some (2 REV10's and 1 REV410) and installed for Memorial Weekend. I used my existing 600x2 amplifier to run (2) REV10's on channel A and the REV 410 on channel B. Ran for 2 days on the water without blasting. Went out the weekend after and gave it a medium grade thumping. NO issues.
Just finished wiring up a completly new setup. JL (2) 450/4 and a 1000/1 with (6) Diamond D660 components and an Alpine CDE-136BT for good measure. Ran all new speaker wire through out cabin. Ran (3) sets of new wires in the tower (Great advise chpthril for your comments on how to drill a larger hole on the port side E-Series tower support (posted 6-27-12). You were right, it was a lot easier than we thought).
Got everything completed last night, when we connected (1) REV10, the JL450/4 went into "yellow" for low impedance immediately. My installer was concerned right away, since there was no reason this should happen.
Today, after we put the ohm meter on it. He confirmed I have (1) REV10 showing 4ohm, the other REV10 showing 0.6 and dropping and the REV410 showing nothing. He is telling me I have a blown REV10 and REV410.
Not to mention, since we hooked up the JL450/4 to the blown REV10 which put the amp into yellow alarm, the amp wont reset (stays in yellow even after we disconnect the speaker wires) he thinks the capacitor is blown on the amp too.
How did this happen??? Any ideas would be helpful. I'm going to call Wet Sounds in the AM to see if they have any ideas...thought I'd send this out to the Faithful Tigeowners as well...
