    22ve and 24ve cost?

We are looking at upgrading from our 04 switch V and are really considering the 22 and 24VE's. Does anyone know what we can expect to pay?

Options will be tower, swivel racks, 5.7L 340hp vortec, cover, bimini, fiberglass swim platform, tige speed control, billet mirror, synchrotec, dual batteries and center bow cushion.

They are really pushing no ballast, but we surf and ride with about 2000lbs in our switch V, so I can't believe no ballast. Anyone have experience riding and surfing these boats with and without ballast?

    Thanks for the help

gotta have ballast, unless you have 15 people for addl weight.

Surfing you will definately want/need extra ballast. Get a couple of sacs and the 2000gph pump. I believe Skylon makes the pump. I know a few folks around here had a ballast system installed... possibly rival's system. I have heard nothing but good things about this system and I believe you can get it in a couple of different configurations. Whatever you do, I would stay with a soft sac system. That way you will not eat up your storage...

        Ballast

I have the TIGA Ballast in mine and they work great. It did not eat up to much of my storage except the compartment infront of the driver. I would suggest if you go with the 24VE you get the PMC 6.0L 385 horse engine. I have the 6.0L 375 Horse in my 05 24V and it is great. Expecially when I get above 5000 feet. I do not loose very much power at all and I do not use as much gas as my friends who have the 5.7 340. The engine works a whole lot less than the 5.7. But if you choose to get the 5.7 it does work very well with the boat.

Here is the MSRP sheet on my 05 24v that is listed for sale at 50. Should give you something to work off of.
