This is our 2007 24ve, 3 people in boat. Enzo Ballast maybe 1/2 to 3/4 full on goofy side. Speed was 10.4, TAPS @ 3 I am riding my Inland Surfer Squirt which is faster but less forgiving and buoyant than my Inland Surfer Blue Lake.

Notice when I stand up or get my weight on back foot how I slow down, but when I crouch and put palms down I start accelerating. Find the balance. Also surf@ the base of the wave or at the slight downhill of the wave--not the top--that is where you get the push.

Ragboy posted how to 'pump' the board to re-catch a wave which I did well the first time, not so well the 2nd time. the dog-paddling is optional....

When you are learning it's good to hang onto the rope for a long time--slack means you are surfing, and if/when you lose the wave, pull yourself back into it.

Great advise. For whatever reason everyone wants to drop the rope right off the bat.

The 50x22x22 Sumo sac, based on its dimensions and the size of the locker, would probably net you about 800lbs.

The Fly High Jumbo Surf will net you about 900 lbs and is only $10 more in retail price. This sac fits good in the 22V and 24V locker. Its a popular sac thats we sell a lot of. It will fill nearly to the top of the locker, placing the weight further back.

Stacking a sac on top of a plumbed-in sac is ok, just watch that you do not break a fitting. It will also tend to push out some of the water in the bottom sac. Just keep that in mind.

I just purchased a 2007 24Ve that has two 400 lb sac's in the rear lockers and two 200 lb sacs in the forward storage areas. The previous owner who was much smaller than I surfed a very small skim board and had no issues. I have nearly mastered getting up and I have been trying relentlessly to throw the rope and can not do it. I have a 5'6" Fish and a older Liquid Force 5'4" Inland Surfer. I am 6'6" and 285 lbs. At this point I think it is the board since I have tried every wake position and many board positions. What are everyone's thoughts? I am considering the Hyperlite 5'11" Landlock Board......
I agree with MLS, try to get your hands on an inland surfer red woody. Remember foot placement is critical, whatever board your on try moving both of your feet foreword, but not so much that you'll sink the nose of the board. Then keep working the foot placement and see how it affects the ability of the board to plane out and stay on the wake.
