FAE ????

What do you guys think about the Captains Call or FAE I have 4 tower speaks and just ordered the sub and amp but I am wondering if we should get the FAE. If it stops some of the noise I will get it, and if so what company do you guess think I should go with? Just thought about this after being on my buddy’s Mastercraft and his didn’t sound as loud. I really dont know anything about this product.

I just got FAE last fall and just installed it and started riding and it does make an incredible difference. I can hardly hear the boat running at any speed. You can only hear the engine from inside the engine compartment. You can hear the pulleys turning on the motor. You can hear the spray of the water off the boat hull loudly! You can talk at almost a whisper with the passenger at full speed. It is easy to talk to the surfer while surfing. There is no exhaust at the rider whatsoever. I would say it is a great great addition for a noisy boat.

A traditional "Captains Call" would put the exhaust exiting right in line with a surfer. They typically dont use a muffler, therefor they are loud....which is what the goal is.

The one and only Fresh Air Exhaust, which is only made by Boat Pipes, will reduce the exhaust levels as well as redirect the harmful CO into the prop wash.

ok... anyone with a 2009 or newer have one on thier boat and a pick... not sure if I like how it looks... odd looking from the pic they have on the site listed above?

do they make one for the 2011 RZ4? and if so.. where is the best place to get one? do they make SS steal ones are are they composite or plastic?

FAE is super upgrade and definitely worth it for both for safety of wakesurfer and noise reduction. We felt like we got a new boat when it was installed. My boat is 2007 22Ve so exhaust is different but it makes a big improvement.

my question is this.. we dont really wakesurf much.. 99% just wake board. so is it worth it for this. I can see with surfing no question. Just want some input. If I can get noise reduction for the rider and less stereo volume ext... that would be great.

ahaha.. man I did not say it.. but for sure was looking at that thing... going man its kinda funky looking for a newer tige with single exhuast port... lol the dual exhaust ones look pretty cool.. single not so much..

We love the FAE on our boat.
We don't play the music loud and we couldn't hear it over the exhaust noise.
It was also very hard to talk to each other.
And the exhaust smell at idle is gone.
FAE and Perfect Pass - best upgrades we've made, worth every penny.

Talk to Larry. He has done them before with the single port PCM in which a 2nd "dummy" port was installed, making it look symmetrical like the others. If you hate the look of the single port FAE, that might be an option.
