What kind of weight can I tow?

I have a 21V and I ride during the week after work and I have to trailer to the ramp maybe 2 miles away. There are a few speed bumps on the way but nothing to much. So how much ballast can I safely pre fill so I dont have to wait in the water?
I have two 440's in the rear and a 200 in the front.

    Thanks

That depends on a number of things. Think about the trailer capacity. The axles and tires can only take so much. The trailer and tires both have capacities listed so make sure you don't exceed those. Then if that math works out, what are you towing with and can it handle th extra weight. Stopping and corners are your problem areas when towing weight.

If you load the rear too heavy its going to make the trailer walk on you from not having enough tongue weight. If you leave any of them full make sure the front 200# is full at all times vs the back 2 400#s. It might be you can only leave the front full and maybe half or less of each back bag (keep them balanced side to side) thats if your trailer and everything can handle the extra weight.

The trailer is what I am slightly worried about, its the Dorsey that came with the boat. I will just do that, start half filled and see how it goes and work my way up from there

It depends on the steepness of you boat launch too, if it's too shallow the extra weight will make it hard if not impossible to get the boat off the trailer. How long does it take to fill your bags? How much time are you looking to save? Maybe picking up an extra fill pump will help shave 5 minutes or so?

I like the extra pump idea the best. Saves a lot of stress on the trailer as well as the bunk boards and the hull of the boat itself contacting the bunk boards.

I have a high pressure hose right there next to my boat so when I am loading everything, hooking up etc I fill them all saving the hassle. The pumps are just a pain

The boat ramp isnt steep at all and because im lifted so high I can really back the trailer down.

Look at it this way, that 200 pound bow sac is the same as a buddy sitting up there as you pull the boat out of the water. I wouldn't be too worried about that 900 pounds of ballast you have. Im sure all of us has pulled the boat/trailer around the launch ramp with a full load of people. I just would add a full load of people onto of your ballast though.

You also need to look at the rating of your hitch and ball. Add all your weights, trailer, boat, fuel, tower, platform, accesories toys etc and than add the ballast weight. you need to see if you exceed the rating of your trailer, tires and towing hitch, ball and ball drop system?

There should be a capacity plate on that Dorsey Trailer. On my Dorsey it is on the inside of the curb side of the frame. I suspect if you add the dry weight of your boat ~3500lbs plus gas, gear, etc. There is probably little to no capacity for trailering with full ballast. (I haven't looked at the numbers recently)
Have you seen some of the threads on here where the bunk supports failed on the trailer?

The bunks failing are exactly what I am worried about. I trailer MUCH bigger (36 Hydrosport w/ trip 300's, full 300 gal fuel) with my hitch.

Looks like a through hull and pumps are next, should be fun....

It's not that scary to do a ballast install, and there is lots of help on this site to get it done right.

Not scared, just not looking forward to it haha.. And I have looked through probably each thread which is invaluable. But like everything theory is easy, application usually sucks
