    Defect In Fiberglass Hull?

I noticed this while inspecting the boat for the 1st time after delivery (2012 RZ2). There is about a 3 foot section on the port side hull right on the edge of the underside of the hull. There is extra fiberglass and then an area I can fit my fingernail into. There is nothing loose or cracked, it just appears as if it was left a little unfinished in the final stages. Any thoughts? By the way, the pic is upside down for some reason.

Time for popcorn and the lazyboy chair, this one is going to get heated.

Where exactly is this on the hull? Can't tell from the photo.

For some reason all of my pictures are upside down or sideways when I put them into dropbox. Anyway, it is on the port side of the the boat towards the rear on the edge where it turns in from the side to form the bottom of the boat (not the first turn in from the graphics and paint but the next). Maybe this pictures gives a better reference.

Take the boat back to the dealer and also point them to this threat. Tigé should be taking care of this under there warranty.

Have you notified your Tigé dealership?

If I am following what you are trying to address, it looks like the outside edge of the chine has a gel coat void. Call your dealer, send them much better pics of the area. You will most likely take it to a local fiberglass shop to have the spot repaired. I have a repair spot on my boat where they had to touch up, either the gelcoat didnt settle all the way into the mold or it was damaged when the removing it from the mold and didnt release properly. Either way, not a big deal as Tige and your dealer will resolve.

There is no way that should have left the factory like that, Tige will make that right, Take more pictures, send them to your dealer and to Tige.
