So I had a trailer tire blowout on memorial day weekend and luckily I had a buddy following me in another car. Apparently I blew out the passenger rear tire on the double axle trailer and didn’t know it. The area we were in was sketchy for cell phone reception so I drove about a mile before he could get through to inform me.
The shredded tire slapped the paint off the fender and bent it….. so I got it repaired. While doing so I had my buddy who owns the body shop remove the aluminum diamond plates from the top of the fender because it was causing rust from holding water underneath.
After the repair we ended up installing skateboard grip tape in place of the diamond plate for when people put their foot on top of the fender when entering from the trailer. After being in the sun in the parking lot the grip tape is starting to bubble (damn).... I guess I have to revert back to the diamond plate?
Any ideas? If not anyone know of a place to get these diamond plate's to glue on
