Two weeks ago I bought a used 2007 Tige20V - 186 hours -beautiful condition. I'm lovin the boat however I noticed the swim platform lifts up 2 or 3 inches as the boat accelerates out of the hole to plane. At the dock the platform seems solid to stand on... so is this lifting normal? is something loose, or do I head to the marina for repairs. Any help much appreciated!

Congrats and welcome to the site.
I would pull the pins and lift out the platform and inspect both halves of the brackets on each side. Make sure they are not loose or broken. Post a couple of pics if you can. Its a two person job to remove it.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

I took a swim under the Tige swim platform this afternoon... discovered the pins you described were simple stainless nuts and bolts... Perhaps not original??? I added nuts and lock washers to the loose Starbord bolt and tightened everything securely.... however the whole swim platform assembly seems loose ... the platform still rattles slightly at the transom connection and the platform lifts at least 1 inch at the aft. I suspect this amount of play is not normal??? Thoughts?
Thanks so much for all the input and help!

Well, it shouldn't be hard to figure out where the motion is located. Pull the boat from the water and have someone lift up and down on the back of the swim platform while you watch what moves at the transom.
Report back, it will be interesting to know the answer!

Yesterday (calm day) I stood on bottom in 5ft of water..was able to get a very good under the platform look with mask on. The transom brackets are solid to the transom, no problem with those. The looseness or play is clearly in the transom bracket and the platform bracket. Although, not much play, perhaps the fittings are worn inside the bracket?? The play in this 'quick-release' transome bracket allows the aft of the platform about 1 to 1 1/2 inches up-down travel as I accelerate out of the hole. I'm thinking this can't be normal?? Simply too much movement ?? Your thoughts much appreciated!!!

Mine moves a little, I don't notice if it lifts when getting up on plane but it used to lift when we were anchored and a wake would hit the boat from the stern and it would lift the platform a little. There are some screws on the bottom of my mounts that push up on the platform mounting pieces that "lock" the platform hinge into the mounting receivers. On my boat they came loose and I tightened them up with some loctite and it's been solid ever since.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.
