    TIGE touch software glitch! Help!!

Every few drive cycles the boat literally forgets all of the computer settings in the TIge touch, ballast, taps calibration, auto volume, brightness etc. and resets to factory presets. This is a new issue, I feel as though it may be due to the update we recieved this spring during de winterization. I was hoping anyone with the 2012 software may have/had the issue and may know a way to fix it. I'm not overly concerned but this is a massive annoyance.

    Also
Is there any way I can roll back to the 2011 software to check and see of this fixes the issue.

I have the 2012 software file on my PC. I still have the 2011 software as well. I can simply email both to you and you can reinstall or revert to the 2011.
Simply transfer the file to a USB stick, plug it in under the dash and turn the key on. It'll install it self.
I haven't updated to the 2012 yet but I will this week.

BTW are there any real differences between the 2011 vs 2012? There was a big difference between 2010 and 2011...just not sure about this year. Oh well, time to find out!

Update: no good news. The boat won't update the software, it is supposed to pop up a white download screens, rather stays blue for a few moments and then starts normally.

Anyone have a fix? Do I need a new viper unit?

We were just getting ready to put the boat in the water for the first time this year and was going through the checks and noted that the screen would not come on (remained blue). Does anyone know what the advantage of running the 2012 script verse 2011?

I'm trying to roll the software back an the boat won't take it... I'm very frustrated... The 2012 just accommodates the new options

Are you using a Mac or a PC to transfer it to the thumb drive?

I had the same issue using a Mac but it worked perfectly with a PC.

I'd just reformat the thumb drive and reload it with a PC. If not, maybe try a different thumb drive.

okay quick update, didnt work all summer so i just dealt with it (annoying but not crippling), tried three different wiped flash drives all from PC and nothing worked. Dealer still has the boat because our damn water is still 2 feet down and i wont even be able to get it to the dock.

anyways the service guys are going to take a crack at the software update and if it doesn't work CHUCK the computer (blue box) and install a new one they have laying around that they got for another customer and ended up not needing. will report back as soon as i have the boat.
