My kids use their Video Ipods on my boat with a Alpine head unit.
My connecter cable looks like this:
Go to clarion via Google to see if the model you have will support IPOD via an AUX plug.
You can also use the Griffen I trip. It's a small transmitter which when synced on a frequency allows the IPOD to play though any radio. Not a clear as the direct conection though.
The Griffen looks like this for the NON Video IPODS:

Here is another thread on the topic. Also search wakeworld, they have a post telling you where to order the parts. I did this on my 2002 and it worked good. I currently use Monster IPLAY+ on my 2005 but will be hardwiring the IPOD next month

They work anywhere. It is transmitting the signal to your radio. It is like it's own radio station. On some models you pick which station to transmit to, others it is a set radio station (or frequency). The closer you have the ipod to the radio, the better the sound. The farther away it starts getting weaker and static. They work well in tha car and at home. I have never tried it on the boat.Mike Allen, Tigé owner since 1997
