    DIY wake products?

Curious if anyone has tried out some of there products? Like the wake board surf board racks or the mirror set ups. Looks like more budget level but curious on anyones hands on opinion?

I had a pair of DIY racks on our Crownline. They were great for the price. The only issue I ever had was the padding started to come off, but I glued it back on & never had any other issues.

I had their tower, lights, racks and mirror on my old boat. All was good except the mirror was crap. I replaced it with a CIPA.

Do you know which mirror you had? What didn't you like about it?

Not sure what brand they gave me but it was just flimsy and distorted. Very cheap mirror.

I think thier stuff is worth what you pay for it. I do not have any experience with the racks or mirrors, but their polished finish speaker pods scratch easy and the finish tens to be toast after a couple seasons.

yeah I realize there stuff is probably not going to last very long but I'm running short on funds after all my other boat mods and really need a rack to hold at least one surf and one wake board. I'm also looking at a Bullet Lines rack. Do you sell any racks Chpthril?

I'll tell you what I think. All that stuff is exactly what my tower has on it. Forks, mirror arm and all the clamps. The only difference is, all my stuff is labled BOSS. All that stuff was machined in house. Before I purchased it, they had me come down to the shop and take tour. I was satisfied enough with the design and fab of the tower and components to have them build me one. Unfortunately, the owner was a douche (which I found out after the tower was installed) and within a year they were out of business. The fabricators and machinery didn't just disappear and it would be quite a coincidence that someone different would be making the exact same parts.

It's been a pretty damn good tower. I have had two bolts strip out. One on one of those clamps and one in a rack. I had a tower speaker hanging from the clamp. After being in service for 5 years its not too surprising given the forces they are subjected to. They are aluminum. They are repairable. I just picked up some new bungees for the racks to replace the aging originals. Other than that everything has held up great.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Thanks for the info nickypoo. What rack do you have? Wake, surf, or combo? I also took your advice on a bimini from giavoni. He made me a nice custom bimini and I had him put two surf board pockets on top that turned out nice.
