Rear Lockers / Coolers in Z3 flooding

The small "lockers" at the back of the boat just above the swim grid are great for holding ropes, drinks, (one of mine has the shower in it.)

BUT they always get flooded with water, and have no drainage....

Anyone else experiencing this?

I've resorted to emptying them at the end of the day with a water cannon

Have your dealer drill a drain hole in each and run a small drain tube into the bilge so it doesn't drain on engine or electrical components.

BTW, I have those same storage areas in the transom activity center and mine do not get flooded, how are yours getting flooded? From the wake hitting the back of the boat when coming off plane?

I think so.... starboard has the shower in it, which always leaks a bit

the port side takes on water too though... probably from listing that side for surfing?

It is quite easy to take on water over the stern of my RZR when weighted heavily, almost more so than the bow. I've learned (and have taught everyone who drives it) when throttling down to pick up a downed rider to pull it back to idle, or enough to disengage the speed set and then throttle it up a bit before returning it to neutral, letting the wave pass and then turning around.

A quick power turn will also resolve this issue if you are into that sort of thing...

Ours have drains into the bilge in our Z3....

Same with the ones on either side of the walk through.

Maybe they forgot to install mine when they built it?.....

There are drains in them on our 2012 RZ2.

I think they did! Even my '07 RZ2 has the drains in there.

I've run 3k or more and never experienced any water over the back... Surfing or wakeboarding...in 126 hours...
