boat cutting out with full ballast

When I am super loaded with ballast my boat will rev high, but not go. It almost feels the same as when a tranny starts slipping. Has anyone had this problem

It seems everyone is having power loss during peak loading or upper end rpms including me.

It just happens for a second, but has me worried. Sounds awful.

        What prop are you running?
Is this amount of weight different from last season?
Whats the condition of the prop?
        Trans fluid level and condition?

Sounds like your prop is cavitating because of the extra weight, like Chp asked, what prop do you have?

The size and pitch should be stamped on the hub. And yes, there are better props then stock for surfing.

Yesterday was the first day out for me since I upgraded the ballast, I have a 537 on and it was not liking it at all. It was having issues getting to surf speed, holding speed and I had Cavitation while cornering and in some light chop. Good thing I have a new 1235 that should get here Tuesday from Chp

Part of me wishes the prop had arrived by this weekend, but im also glad you got to feel the 537 with the extra weight.

I experienced this over Memorial Weekend for the first time as well. I had the 1100lb Enzo filled and 8 people in the boat as well for surfing. Cornering just right would cavitat the prop, i'm running the 1235.
