    Fuel gage

I have a 2004 24V and the fuel gage is stuck on full, so long story short it is not working and I am not sure if it is the gage or the sending unit. Can anyone tell me how to check and what to look for?

      Switch Sending Unit

The tanks are very shallow; fuel switch sending unit (found in tank) will only work sitting still or moving very slow. This is common for these fuel gages not to work. There is lots of info on tigeowners regarding this issue. This is what I did on my 2005 24V, and so far it is working for me. I called Tige and gave them my boat Vin number. They got back to me on make and item number of tank and fuel switch sending unit (found in tank). Tige gave me the phone number of the gas tank company and switch sending unit. I contacted the Tank Company and order a new switch sending unit that goes in the tank. The new gauge was different than the one that came with the boat. If this new switch sending unit stops working I’m going to put a Fuel Flow Meter in. It only took me about two hours to take floor out and replace gas gauge. On my tank it was very easy to put new fuel switch sending unit in and the Cost was around $75.00. Tige was great to work with on this problem. All my information is at the lake. If Tige does not get back to you I'll find the phone number for you.

I was having the same problem at the beginning of the year and chpthril sent me the same instructions and everything checked out. At mike's suggestion I ran the tank down to below 1/2 a tank and went over some rollers bouncing the boat pretty hard and it started working. Apparently it had become stuck during its winter break.

I love the Floscan inline Fuel Flow Meter in our RZ2. I would not own a boat without one.
