    Adding a 3rd battery / on-board charger*

My first step will be adding the on-board charger, and buying 2 new battiers next year.
Can i buy a 2 bank charger, and it still work to charge 3 batteries? Need confirmation Please?
Any recommendations on charger or amperage would be help full also. I havd been looking at Minn Kota, and Motorguide.

Yes to your question. With 2 batteries wired together to make up a bank, will be seen as one large battery. So as the charger is conserned, you will only have 2 batteries.

Rull of thumb is to go with a charger that will deliver in the range of 10% of the available Ah (battery amp/hours).

Using a 20A charger for example: Some chargers are a set 10A to bank 1 and 10A to bank 2. Some are setup with a dedicated starting bank and house bank and may deliver 5A to the starting and 15A to the house. And some will deliver the bulk of the charge to the bank it senses needs it the most. Other brands worth looking at are: C-Tek, Guest, Pro Mariner, Ship-n-Shore (by Schumacher)

I have four hummer batteries. I have two battery switches. The first switch chooses the bank and the second switch isolates the battery. Every battery has a one amp charger hooked to it which I plug in when on the trailer. The only problem I have is if the battery totally drains the one amp charger won't charge it. The hummer batteries are 2000 cranking amps and it is an over kill having 4.
